Joao Mario is a man who is likely to be on the move in this January transfer window, having been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League. Manchester United have flashed an interest in the midfielder, who just recently reportedly turned down a switch to Watford.
Interestingly however it is La Liga where he looks most likely to end up, according to Spanish publication AS, as high flying Valencia are looking to acquire his services in preparation for the departure of Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The Frenchman could be set for a move to China, which would free up a spot in central midfield for Joao Mario. The Portuguese international has established himself as a top option in the middle of the park at both Sporting and Inter Milan.
With three assists in 14 Serie A appearances this season, the 24-year old has played an important role in helping Inter reach the third spot in the table after 20 games, though they do sit nine points off leaders Napoli.
Valencia meanwhile are currently third in La Liga, ahead of struggling Real Madrid and just two points behind Atletico Madrid. It has been an impressive season for Los Che, who have scored 40 times this season, but also have the worst defensive record in the top four.
