With French super club PSG having recently stacked their squad with a number of high-profile and world class names, it is little surprise that they are also looking to offload some dead wood, even just in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham have reportedly had bids for the midfielder turned down, by request of Pastore himself, and it seems that Inter Milan have emerged as the front runners in the race to acquire his signature.
Pastore is in his seventh season with PSG, but has seen his game time diminish at an alarming rate over the last few years. Despite this he has managed to register four goals and an assist in 14 Ligue 1 appearances during this campaign.
There is little doubt of the 28-year old’s talent, and he looks set to return to Italy, having spent two seasons with Palermo. Inter, his preferred suitors, currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, and the addition of Pastore could help them secure a higher league position come the end of the season.
